Menschen betroffen (1). In Japan geht man von einer Zahl zwischen 80.000 bis 240.000 Betroffenen aus (2).<\/p>\n<p>Typische Symptome sind <strong>neben der namensgebenden Ersch\u00f6pfung unter anderem Schwindel, Kopf- und Muskelschmerzen, Schlafprobleme, Konzentrationsschwierigkeiten, Brain Fog, \u00dcberempfindlichkeit gegen\u00fcber Licht and Ger\u00e4uschen, Herzrasen sowie Blutdruckschwankungen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Charakteristisch f\u00fcr ME\/CFS ist die sogenannte <strong>Post-Exertionelle Malaise (PEM)<\/strong>.<br \/>\nSie beschreibt <strong>eine Verschlechterung aller Symptome nach geringer k\u00f6rperlicher oder geistiger Anstrengung<\/strong>.<br \/>\nJe nach Schwere der Krankheit k\u00f6nnen schon einfache Alltagsaktivit\u00e4ten wie Z\u00e4hneputzen oder Duschen PEM ausl\u00f6sen und den Erkrankten anschlie\u00dfend zu tagelanger Bettruhe zwingen.<\/p>\n<p>Viele Erkrankte k\u00f6nnen das Haus gar nicht oder nur im Rollstuhl verlassen und sind im Alltag auf Hilfe angewiesen (3).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eine urs\u00e4chliche Behandlung von ME\/CFS gibt es bisher nicht. Pl\u00f6tzlich f\u00fchlte ich mich deutlich m\u00fcder als sonst, hatte h\u00e4ufig Kopfschmerzen, Konzentrationsschwierigkeiten und Schlafprobleme. Erste Arztbesuche f\u00fchrten zu keinem Ergebnis, und die Symptome wurden mit der Zeit schlimmer.<\/p>\n<p>Irgendwann kamen Herzrasen und ein starkes Schwindelgef\u00fchl beim Laufen hinzu, sodass es mir unm\u00f6glich wurde, das Haus ohne Rollstuhl zu verlassen. Nachdem jedoch alle Tests ohne Auff\u00e4lligkeiten waren, wurde ich wieder nach Hause geschickt \u2013 mit dem Rat, mich bei einem Psychiater vorzustellen.<\/p>\n<p>Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ging es mir bereits so schlecht, dass ich fast ausschlie\u00dflich nur noch im Bett liegen konnte. Gl\u00fccklicherweise gibt es in Tokio einen Spezialisten f\u00fcr diese Erkrankung, bei dem ich bereits vier Wochen sp\u00e4ter einen Termin bekommen konnte.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber war ich sehr dankbar, denn in Deutschland hatte ich von Wartezeiten von bis zu einem Jahr geh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wie_geht_es_mir_jetzt\"><\/span><span style=\"background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(250,179,190,0) 20%, #ffffb0 80%); font-family: arial;\"><strong>Wie geht es mir jetzt?<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Durch die Behandlung beim Spezialisten hat sich mein Zustand sehr langsam verbessert. Nach mehreren Jahren Therapie kann ich nun f\u00fcr einige Stunden am Tag leicht aktiv sein und das Haus mit dem Rollstuhl verlassen.<\/p>\n<p>Den Gro\u00dfteil meiner Zeit verbringe ich jedoch weiterhin im Bett, um mich auszuruhen.
